ARTIST STATEMENT

I create assemblages that are directly inspired by my life-long obsession with collecting. Incorporating pottery shards, shells, pods, bones, and relics from the past, each piece is meticulously designed and executed to convey the illusion that the objects are suspended weightlessly. By using a range of techniques, my goal is to emphasize the singularity and beauty of the world around us.

Sculpture

My sea form sculptures are built from reclaimed wood, beach sand, and pigment. They are meant to be viewed individually or in groups, and can be moved about to change the formation according to the space.

Display

In addition to my assemblages and sculpture, I specialize in putting objects on display. From single objects to entire collections, I bring my years of experience as an exhibition preparator at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City to each project.
